P\u00e9ter R\u00f3bert writes: <q>mobility, on the one hand, appears largely as a self-value, a result of a normative approach, according to which the openness of a society is closely connected to its democratic character.<br \/>\n&#8230;On the other hand, the value and meaning of social mobility may be given in a functionalist way. People are born into families with a variety of occupations, educational levels and wealth but, irrespective of this, talents and abilities display and even distribution in society.
